Public speaking skill is the art of speaking before the live audience. In simply, Public Speaking is the idea of presenting a thought, concept or product to an audience.
             In Public speaking, there are five main parts, often expressed as; “who is saying what to whom using what medium with what effects?”

THREE IMPORTANT FACTORS OF PUBLIC SPEAKING
  • ETHOS- CREDIBILITY OR THE SPEAKER
  • LOGOS– LOGICAL ARRANGEMENT OF WORDS OR SENTENCES
  • PATHOS– ABILITY TO BRIDGE RELATION BETWEEN SPEAKER AND THE AUDIENCE


MUST DO’S IN A PUBLIC SPEAKING
  • ·        Do Not Make Things Complicated
  • ·        Make beginning and ending unique
  • ·        Tell A Story
  • ·        Be Clear And Concise
  • ·        Know Your Audience
  • ·        Smile and have fun
  • ·        Speak loud
  • ·        Relax
  • ·        Be confident
  • ·        Wrap up your speech on time
  • ·        Be flexible with situation
  • ·        Connect with your people during the presentation

  • ·        Use simple and understandable(easily decodable) language


 DON'TS IN A PUBLIC SPEAKING
  • ·        Do not fear
  • ·        Do not rush through your presentation
  • ·        Do not stick your hands in your pockets
  • ·        Do not underestimate your Audience
  • ·        Do not point fingers
  • ·        Do not hurt people feelings
  • ·        Do not dictate
  • ·        Avoid unbecoming language
  • ·        Avoid repetition of the works or phrase
  • ·        Do not put-up an aggressive face
  • ·        Don’t make things which you are not sure about


FACTORS INFLUENCING A PUBLIC SPEAKING
  • ·        The topic of the presentation
  • ·        The attitude of the audience
  • ·        The quality of material
  • ·        Thorough knowledge about the Matter
  • ·        The length of the speech
  • ·        Body language
  • ·        Supporting pictograms, diagrams etc.
  • ·        Pitch variation and so on…..
